AI FOR THE DISABLED
Can AI Make a Difference?
-
OPTION 1 - Circular Thinking. Artificial intelligence is changing life for everyone, but it is also leading to frustration. If I knew the question and the answer why would I use your tool? Then if I knew the question, I am almost certain that your answer is not going to answer my question. Then the more you ask the more you will not answer my question. The issue keeps going and the problem continues and we all get more and more frustrated by the carousel of language.

When you have a disability, I find that my tolerance for circular thinking is even more difficult. It also takes next to nothing for me to lose my train of thought and next thing you know I’ve forgotten my question or in the case of two-factor authentication I don’t even know how the tool works and by this point I’m so frustrated I’m ready to move on and AI is only too happy to help. Give me a phone number or let me talk to someone to help me get back on track. This is even more important for those with disabilities. I need help and your refusal to acknowledge me makes me want to give up. I can’t even pay to have someone help. This is the downside of AI. I always look for someone who gives me a phone number to pull me out of the abyss. No phone and I’m gone.

OPTION 2 - The Role of Intelligent AI - Many of us know this has been around for years and we have also been around for the poor logic of “old school AI” that was written to do your digital marketing for you. The problem was this was not effective. The content was often ineffective, seldom made sense, and left you with hope that no one would actually read your content. This is all changed with truly intelligent tools like Goggle Gemini that would help you compose content that was readable/legible, multi-sourced and easy to produce. It’s not that the content would self-generate, but it wouldn’t embarrass you either. The bad days of SEO driven AI are still here, but Google has pushed all of us forward to generate content and thoughts that make sense. I found that content development was the most difficult task and Gemini made me feel like a “human” again. They helped me produce neuro-linguistic content again. It wasn’t marketable, but it was able to share ideas from multiple sourced authorities that also shared well documented content. This became a great tool for the disabled who need help that is easy and quick to find. Remember you only have to go to Gemini to see this at work to find real non-sponsored ideas. Things change, but in 2024 this will be a tool to follow for AI tools to follow.
